WYLD ANNUAL MEETING

Training Committee The Training committee has met four times this year. Beth Floyd is our recorder, and has done an excellent job. Meeting minutes can be found at: http://will.state.wy.us/wyld/network/committees/training/index.html
Training Needs Survey
To date, our major project was creating a Training Needs survey for the Annual WYLD Conference. A total of 58 consortium members responded. A copy of the report is attached. I would like to thank Karen Kitchens for putting the report together.
Identifying Training Needs
The committee's survey information was used for addressing the needs for the WYLD Annual Conference, as well as identifying other training needs individuals and libraries considered important. The information gathered will be used for planning purposes.
Blog Adventure
A new adventure we are trying out this year is a WYLD Training Blog. Steve Whisenand has been instrumental in setting up the Blog and maintaining it. The concept behind using the blog is to have a centralized location for the committee's discussion lists and information, rather than using our email systems. To date I have been pleased with it. Future Plans
The Training Committee plans to create ways of marketing and encouraging the use of the WYLD Skills Checklists.
