Voyager Account

Is it possible to earn interest while you save money? Yes, with a Voyager Account through the Central Acquisitions Program at the Wyoming State Library. Because of the success of the program, Central Acquisitions accounts can now earn interest on the funds deposited into an Central Acquisitions account(s). Interest earned on a Voyager Account is based on the level of service that is provided by the Central Acquisitions office.

Three levels of earning have been established:

Level 1 (1 percent interest)
Full-service accounts

  • order materials for users, (creates and delivers purchase orders);
  • pay invoices for users, (invoices from created purchase orders);
  • unlimited transactions for users, (deposits, withdrawal and transfer of funds); and
  • special "Customer Service Request" (CSR).
  • must maintain a minimum balance of $100.

Level 2 (3 percent interest)
Limited-service accounts

  • Limited transactions;
  • pay invoices for users who have ordered their own materials;
  • unlimited transactions for users (deposits, withdrawals and transfer of funds); and
  • must maintain a minimum balance of $100.

Level 3 (5 percent adjusted annually)
Limited transactions

  • deposits, withdrawals and transfer of funds;
  • limited to 12 transfers a year to an established Central Acquisitions fund; and
  • must maintain a minimum balance of $500.

No interest will be paid on any federal funds deposited with the WSL.

Interest rates are set by the Acquistions Office, and adjusted annually.
